Pink Panther by an unknown maker for United Artists has the Panther looking smug with a blue hat and long cigarette holder on a light green background with black numbers. I've also seen the same on a white background. Marked Swiss made MCMLXIV United Artists, Geoffrey DFE.
In 1979, Q&Q of Japan, for the Japanese market produced this Pink Panther with a black top hat trimmed in red, a purple bow tie and a red walking stick on a white background with red numbers, red minute marks, black hands and a red second hand to tell the time. Marked Q&Q 1979, UAC Geoffrey, All rights reserved.
Pippi Longstockings by unknown maker for G.G. Communications (film distributor). Here is the ever smiling red headed Pippi dressed in a green dress with two front pockets and with her monkey friend Mr. Nilsson whose head moves to tick off the seconds all on a white background, black numbers and her arms to tell the time. Marked 1974 Swiss made. An amazing watch and a scarce find today.
Here is Skippy "jump hour" watch by E. Gluck Trading Company. Skippy goes with Moppet on my 70's D-O blog and is similar to Raggedy Ann and Andy. Skippy sits happily next to the time display in his blue and red sailor suit with a black tie, white and blue hat, striped socks and black shoes on a white background with a sailing boat drawn behind him and the time display to the far left, the hours are white numbers on red background while the minutes are white numbers with black background. Marked Swiss made.
In 70s & 80's'. Bradley produced this very common Smurf Time watch with a smurf-happy smiling smurf in his blues and whites on a yellow background with blue numbers and Smurf's hands to tell the time. Marked Smurf Time, Peyo, S.E.P.P., Licensed by Wallace Berrie & Co.
Here we have Spirit of '76 by Bradley. This was to celebrate the U.S. bicentennial in 1976. Three patriots march while playing their drums and fife with the U.S. flag flying behind them all on a white background with gold stars with letters that spell out "the spirit of '76" in black for the numbers and black hands to tell the time. Marked "Keep the Spirit of '76", patent pending Swiss made.
Here
we have Tarzan by Bradley. Tarzan appears to be rearing back and
yelling his signature yell much less gracefully then Carol Burnett did.
Tarzan is dressed in his loincloth standing on a rock with bushes in the
background all on a sky blue background with black numbers at 3, 6, 9,
& 12, white dots for the other numbers and black minute marks with white hands to tell the time.
Marked Swiss made 1979 Edgar Rice Burroughs Productions, Inc. Hard to
find today. Bradley made a Tarzan with Ape also.
Timebots Destroyer by Remex has Destroyer standing firm ready for action on a white background with black numbers, black minute marks, black hands and a red second hand to tell the time. Marked Hong Kong and internally marked one jeweled movement, Hong Kong Remex.
Walter Mitty mystery watch with a Hamilton 17 jewel movement just like a Jay Ward watch of the same time. Balding Walter is dressed in a blue suit & tie with yellow shoes holding his yellow hat. Marked "Walter Mitty's" as if this is his watch. Sadly, i have no other info on this, most likely a custom watch.
W.C. Fields for Asa Inc. marked Rega Israel internally has a grumpy looking Fields concentrating on playing cards wearing his white gloves, top hat and tux on a white background with black numbers and white hands with red tips while his eyes move to tick off the seconds. Marked "You Can’t Cheat an Honest Man", Swiss made.
