Vintage Nonnon - Moomin, Panky & Ponky, Jimmy Pendolix, Peter Pan, Pink Panther, Pippi Longstockings, Polly Pal, Possible Possum, Puss in Boots character watches.
I
chose to break down my listing of character watches by studio,
character or group so of course we have some uncategorized watches that
have to be presented, these are some of the more popular from the 1970s - in alpha order. In 1975 Moomin Nonnon by Timex for the Japanese market. There were nine books of the Moomins from 1954-1975. Created by Finnish writer and artist Tove Jansson. Nonnon aka Snorkmaiden, isn't actually a Moomin, but is part of their story as a creative and excitable dreamer whose imagination comes
in handy on adventures, resourceful and quick-thinking,
which often leads to her saving the day. Here green Nonnon with sparkling eyes and long lashes along with pinkish hair between her ears and a gold ring on her ankle appears to be running on a white background with black numbers and black hands to tell the time. Marked Timex with the reference number 39304 02475 at the bottom for this very hard to find treasure.
Here is the second version by Timex of green Nonnon with big sparkling eyes and long lashes along with pinkish
hair between her ears kneeling down happily picking flowers on a white background with pink numbers and red hands including a red second hand to tell
the time. Marked Timex with the reference number 39307 02475 at the
bottom for this very hard to find treasure. This one seemed to be the hardest to find out of the four Moomin watches by Timex.
