Vintage Advertising Non-Food Related A-L Character Watches

Vintage Bloop the Troll, Buster Brown, Champion Auto, Chevrolet, Disneyland, Ford, Ford Pinto, Fruit of the Loom, Hot Wheels, Hush Puppy, IKEA Mr. Moose Character Watches.

Advertisers often used characters, mascots or just their trademarks to help sell their products. Here are some for the Non-food related characters or trademarks.

A-L In alpha order: 
 
Here is a super rare Bloop the troll watch from Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. They only used the troll characters for the first 13 years from 1972-1985. These watches were only sold at the park. Here is the one jewel slightly smaller version with Bloop running and looking up where it says, "Its Magic Mountain Time". Colorful Bloop is wearing his black felt hat with an orange feather in it, red shoes all on a white background with pinkish red numbers, black marks for the minutes and his large red gloved hands to tell the time. Marked ASA Inc. Swiss made Magic Mountain. 
 Here is the 17 jewel slightly bigger and more expensive version with Bloop walking and looking up.  Colorful Bloop is wearing his green felt hat with a pink feather in it, green shoes and his orange outfit with pink spots all on a silverish background with 1, 3, 6, 9, & 12 numbers and just black dots for the other numbers and his large white gloved hands to tell the time. Marked Excelle, Magic Mountain, 17 Jewel.

Here we have a 1970's Buster Brown with his page boy haircut and red period clothes and hat with his dog Tige. There is also a smaller pic of Buster and Tige playing tug of war on the left. Red numbers for the 3, 6, 9, & 12, a red second hand and his arms to tell the time. Its the 70's so there is a large bright red MOD wrist band.
Here we have a 1980's Buster Brown winking with his page boy haircut and red period hat and blue suit with huge bow tie along with his dog Tige grinning at him. The extra detail is nice with his blond hair, red cheeks & lips and Tige's red lips along with his many teeth showing. It has luminous black hands including a black second hand, black numbers and black minute marks all on a white background. Marked Swiss Made, it came with a large 80's black MOD wrist band.
Here is a late '60s Champion Auto Parts watch made by Buren. Champion made different auto parts but mostly known for their spark plugs. This quality 17 jewel water and shock resistant watch has a sweep second hand and date display.
1914 Elgin watch marked Chevrolet, hunter case, 15 jewel gilded grade 410 double roller.
In the 70's Bradley produced this wonderful Disneyland watch for Walt Disney Productions with a castle including flags at the top of its spires, it has black hands to tell the time with just gold hash marks for the minutes. Marked Bradley at top and Walt Disney Productions & Swiss made at bottom.
 Here is a 1970's Ford watch by LeJour Swiss made with calendar a 17 jewel, marked  tropicalized on the back with a engraving of a swimmer. Just hash marks for the numbers, with black hands and a sweep second hand.
Also in the 1970's this Ford Pinto watch Swiss made with moving legs kicking off the seconds. A bucking brown and white pinto on an orange background with just numbers for 3, 6, 9 & 12 and black hands to tell the time. This is second year run as the first year did not have the moving legs, only a pic of horse kicking.
1970s Fruit of the Loom by Constructa Watch LTD. Evergrow Enterprises has red apple smiling brightly next to leaves, green grapes, purple grapes, and white currants on a white background with black numbers and silver luminous hands including an orange second hand and a calendar feature. This nicely made one jewel watch is marked Swiss movt, Hong Kong dial. You don't see this one too often.
In 1970, Bradley produced two slightly different watches for Hot Wheels. Marked Hot Wheels in the middle on their red trademark banner on a yellow smaller circle background with a red line that circles and then a outer black background with white numbers and white minute marks to give it a racing look. The hands have the same black/white checkered flag racing look while the second hand is two hot wheels, one red and one green that rotate to tick off the seconds. Marked Swiss made, 1970 Mattel, Inc. The other version is shown below.
Here is the other 1970 Bradley Hot Wheel version. Marked Hot Wheels in the middle on their red trademark banner on a yellow smaller circle background with a red line that circles and then a outer black background with white numbers and white minute marks to give it a racing look. The hands have the same black/white checkered flag racing look while the second hand is two hot wheels, one green and one blue that both have skid marks and rotate to tick off the seconds. Marked Swiss made, 1970 Mattel, Inc.
 
  Here we have a Hot Wheels pocket watch by Westclox with the bright red Hot Wheels banner and a red hot wheel car in the center and states "Hottest metal cars in the world", "SALES SERVICE" and "Authorized Dealer" all on a split yellow and red dial with black minute, black minute marks with detailed minutes along with a sub second hand dial at the bottom. The back is engraved "Authorized Dealer, Sales Service".
 
Here is a 1970's Hush Puppy watch by Israel (known for their watches with usually moving eyes as we see here). Marked Hush Puppies with his eyes moving up and down to tick off the seconds. This sweet basset hound sits politely in a blue circle background and a larger white circle for the black numbers along with white hands to tell the time. Another hard to find watch.
 
Here is a great IKEA Mr. Moose who was their mascot in 1981. Smiling Mr. Moose is in his blue work bib coveralls wearing his white work gloves all on a royal blue background with the IKEA gold and with white 3,6,9 & 12 numbers and white marks for the other numbers, a white second hand and his arms to tell the time. Marked IKEA 1981, Britain Timex internally, 0 jewels unuadjusted.
